Revelation - questions...

Revelation is such a mysterious book in the Bible. We hardly ever hear it preached on, most people don't include it in their quiet time reading, yet everyone seems to have an opion on what it means.

What questions do you have about Revelation? Perhaps it's something you've heard and aren't sure about. Maybe you have read something that was confusing. Are there things you worry about when you hear the word 'Revelation'? What do you think? Let me know.

Discovering what we're shootin' at...

The good side of this has been the lowering of absolute walls. Often times, there isn't a particularly right way to discipline, for example. One child will respond to a particular look. Another child will require more persuasive techniques. We can't say there is a 'right' way to discipline...

The downside of this is we're all left to discovering our own 'way'. We have nothing to compare ourselves to, nothing to say whether we're doing a good job or not, no objectivity.

So, are there universals in parenting/fatherhood? Can we say all fathers should...
- have quality x
- make sure their kids know y
???????????????????????????????????????

Attacking from another angle, who is a Dad that you particularly admire?
What do you admire about him?
What are the qualities, actions, attitudes, etc. which make that person admirable?
Are those qualities universal, or do they represent areas where you have weaknesses?
Do you think other people admire that person's fathering as well?

The questions continue...
